Lucy Wangari

Lucy Wangari is a famous young farmer in Kenya, who is trained as an agronomist. She has a modern, 2-acre onion farm and her enterprise "Onion Doctor Limited" has created successful campaigns in attracting young females and other youth to agriculture. She is very vocal on social media and has won many awards for her activism on behalf of women and youth. Onion Doctor Limited is an onion specialized farm, using modern technologies for pest management and irrigation to grow onions and onion seedlings. The farm is also used as a demonstration site for other farmers to learn as she also provides consultancy services to small and medium size farms in the country.  Click to watch bio
