Jose Luis Gonzalez Chacon

I'm a Civil Engineer from Colombia. I start working at the poultry facilities of our family back in 2016 after receiving a death threat from de Guerrillas in Arauca, Colombia. After starting to work with the birds, my father approved the development of the farm, allowing me to consider the usage of high end technology and start working on renewable energies and reducing the carbon footprint of our farms. The strategy was to certificated, working together with my brothers, the productions we have right now:  Palm oil and Poultry. So far we have gotten the certifications necessary to export our oil with real time tradability of the plantation and we are close to get the diamond poultry production certification. We are close to have 1 million of birds in every flock and we are proud to have some international recognition from the company we work with, Cargill, and the developer of the genetics we use at the farm! As a civil engineer, I love to put the knowledge I have to develop a more sustainable and ecofriendly environment that surrounds our farm, plantation and the people that work with us every day to give the world the food that we need!
