About

Barbara Wang is a second-generation farmer from Yunnan Province, China, with extensive experience in rice farming and recent ventures into coffee farming. She also grows blueberries and avocados. With her father, she grows rice and provides training and education to 23 local farmer families. Barbara is supporting them by providing retail and agricultural education. She uses key technologies such as drip irrigation, biodiversity programs, and organic certification on the rice farm. The farm implements regenerative agricultural practices such as growing grass and trees alongside coffee plants for protecting the soil and covering the plants in shade respectively. Barbara sees promising opportunities in promoting Chinese coffee and sustainable farming practices. Her vision includes maintaining and expanding sustainable practices and increasing recognition of Chinese coffee. She joined the GFN in 2025.
