About
Vijay Kapoor is farming 38 acres in wheat, rice, pulses, mustard, and millets—continuing a centuries-old family tradition. He holds postgraduate degrees in Political Science, and joined farming immediately after completing his education.
He leads several farmer bodies, including: Secretary General of the Farmers Welfare Club (Karnal) and Haryana State Farmers Club, General Secretary of the Agriculture Extension Society, and a former Governor-appointed honorary member of the Karnal Market Committee. The Farmers Welfare Club holds monthly meetings with progressive farmers and scientists to discuss seasonal crops and farming issues, and raises farmer concerns with policymakers. He is also a member of a Farmers Producer Organization, which aids in aggregating produce, market bargaining, and cost reduction.
