Mbali Nwoko is a first-generation farmer from South Africa, managing Green Terrace. Green Terrace is a commercial farm specialising in the production of premium sweet peppers for retail outlets, food processors, and fresh produce markets throughout South Africa. The farm integrates advanced agricultural technologies such as automated tunnels, state-of-the-art multispan greenhouse farming, and a fully-fledged pack house ensuring consistent quality and efficiency. Mbali has demonstrated that farming can be a thriving and fulfilling career for women and young people globally. As CEO of Oconna Grains, she is also focused on the commercialization of small-scale farming and exploring innovative agricultural investment opportunities to help small holders develop their farms for higher yields, mechanization and collective buying and access to market for selling for better ROI.
