About
I am the managing director for livestock production and grassland management at Agrargenossenschaft Trebbin eG, a cooperative farm south of Berlin, Germany. We manage 4,000 hectares, including 2,850 hectares of arable land and 1,150 hectares of grassland. We grow diverse crops such as wheat, barley, triticale, rye, sunflowers, chickpeas, buckwheat, alfalfa, corn, and oil flax, with a strong focus on high-quality forage. We raise about 950 dairy cows plus youngstock and have a small beef herd. Due to sandy soils and only 534 mm of annual rainfall, we use minimal irrigation and rely on sustainable soil and water management. As a first-generation farmer with academic degrees in crop and animal science, I joined the Global Farmer Network in 2022. I am also active in the BASF Farm Network for Sustainability and Oekoprog, which advocates for progressive farming and new breeding technologies. In 2024, I received first place in the Women in Ag Award (Farming category). I am passionate about biodiversity, sustainability, and gender equality. I engage in public dialogue, research, and education, committed to supporting the next generation and shaping a sustainable future for agriculture
