About
Jake is a third-generation farmer from Fillmore, Saskatchewan, Canada, where he, along with several family members, grows a variety of commodity crops, including durum, canola, lentils, flax, and wheat over 16,500 acres (6,900 ha).Jake is a writer, a speaker, and an advocate for agriculture. He is currently the Chair of the Board of the Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission and, along with his siblings, was selected as Saskatchewan’s Outstanding Young Farmer in 2023. Jake has served on advisory boards for companies such as Bayer and OCP, and has been a member of the Global Farmer Network since 2017. Jake has been a long-time first responder in his area and has served Fillmore Ambulance for 17 years. Jake and his wife, Stephanie, have four young sons on their farm near Fillmore.
