George Mailat

George Mailat is a crop farmer managing 200 hectares in central Romania. With a background in telecom engineering and global work experience, he brings a systems mindset to digital agriculture and regenerative practices. To boost resilience and cash flow, he vertically integrated sweet corn—building an EU‑subsidized freezing facility and processing line—to create a diversified revenue stream. Over the next 3–5 years, George aims to keep the operation financially viable, invest in land, and make the farm attractive should his children choose to join. He believes farmers need a stronger, unified voice to engage authorities, share know‑how, and stay competitive.
