About
3rd generation Farmer "without farm", working in 2000 leased hectares in the southwest part of Uruguay in South America. Agriculture in 1600 hectares and livestock in 400 with around 700 head of bovine livestock. Producing winter crops (wheat, barley, canola, carinata, camelina, oats, ryegrass), summer crops (soybean, corn, forage sorghum) and pastures. All agriculture under NO TILL practices, in a regenerative system that includes cash crops, cover and service crops and pastures, trying to increase yields through technology, genetics, the best ag practices and a lot of knowledge by an amazing team. Ended my studies of Ag Technician and started working in 1998, first on the family farm and then by myself. Married Macarena and have a daughter, Ines who is studying Marketing and Andres who is studying agronomy. I live at the Farm during the week and in Tacuarembo in the weekends. I've been a Board member of the GFN since 2024 and Secretary of the GFN since 2025. Gabriel has been recognized by the GFN as a 2021 Kleckner Award for Global Farm Leadership award recipient.
