Franco Rochon

Franco Rochon is a third generation farmer from Uruguay, managing a farm in the Colonia department alongside his father. With extensive experience in row crop and cattle farming, Franco grows soybean, barley, wheat, oats, and raises Holstein steers on 48 hectares. He utilizes key technologies such as no-till farming, spraying drones, and water conservation techniques. Franco faces challenges related to climate change, market access, and economic sustainability but sees opportunities in expanding drone technology use and improving crop yields. His vision for the future includes increasing farm efficiency, integrating new technologies, and expanding crop diversity.
