About
I am a third generation farmer, I grow up in our farm, I am the only male among six siblings so most of the time I assisted my father doing the farming work during childhood to adolescence period, we planted vegetables, rice, and corn, we raised some chicken and some goats and a carabao. We depend on rainfall as source of water to irrigate our plants during our early days of farming. Then we discovered the deep well as source of water to irrigate our plants, that is why as of today even during summer we planted and produce corn and vegetables on our farm. I quit farming when I get married to practice my teaching profession, but made promise to myself to go back during my retirement, my career progression didn’t go as planned, so I decided to go back in farming because our salary as couple in teaching is not enough to support our five children’s education, I was forty-two years old when I began planting hot pepper. That was 2012, get lucky at first time but failed many times during the succeeding years. It was December 2019 when I planted hot pepper again, and got lucky to harvest many fruits with high value, in my 2500 sqm of land planted with hot peppers, I have produced and sold an amount of $7,000 maybe higher than that if pandemic did not occur. I took a video of my hot pepper plants and upload it to my YouTube channel, the video became viral, I was monetized, and AD Alvarez had found my video, consult me about hot pepper production then invited me to join GFN, not interested during his first invitation but he didn’t stop until I finally accepted the invitation. I joined the GFN in the cohort of Germany in 2022. Click to watch bio
