About
Daniel Meade operates as a dairy farmer in Victoria, Australia. Daniel owns and runs the dairy farming business with his wife Michaela and their 4 children, supported by a valued team of farm technicans. Based in the small township of Garvoc, they are the 3rd generation to milk on the Dryland farm that consists of a total of 820 acres. Since taking on the operation of the farm in 2018 they have grown the Holstein dominant milking herd from 200 to 500 milking cows. They run a pasture based system with the cows being outside in the natural environment all year around. With Daniel's background as a dairy pasture agronomist, the overall goal is to run a sustainably profitable dairy farming business that focuses is on maximising home grown perrennial ryegrass pasture as the primary feedsource for the herd. Meade has previously been involved in his Local Regional Government as a Councillor and Mayor and is also a farmer representative with the Victorian Farmers Federation. Daniel and Michaela enjoy volunteering in the local community with the Voluntary Rural fire brigade, local junior AFL club and primary school committees. Daniel Joined the GFN in 2025.
